In 2005 I was tested for bart at Igenex and had negative titers for IgG and IgM. In 2008, I was tested at Fry and had a positive titer for Bart. H and Bart Q at 1:64 with only IgG positive. It also seems odd that I have the exact same titer for 2 different kinds of bart.

So, my question is: Do I have bartonella or not. My symptoms that could be bart also all fall into the lyme category which I tested positive for at Igenex in 2004 wih IgG and IgM and at the then Bowen labs.

A friend's husband who exhibits no symptoms of any TBO and is as healthy as a horse also tested positive for bart titers with Fry.

I am not trying to knock down Fry labs, but I find it weird and confusing and I don't want to treat for bart if I do not really have it.

I would go on symptoms and a clinical diagnosis with the assistance of you LLMD.

I had a negative bart blood smear with Fry and 2 negative bart tests with Igenex yet my LLMD and I both feel I have bart.

if you are sick enough with bart you will surely want to treat it. if you are considering not treating it because you are unsure whether you have it or not, i guess i dont know what to tell you.

fortunately for you most lyme treatments overlap with what would cover bart so i guess itd be ok.

if it were me, id treat it. like i mentioned above, it will cover lyme and many other organisms anyway, so why not do it?

cheers

derek
