I woke up this morning, and my right hand (only my right hand) was swollen, so swollen that I had to take off my watch because even my wrist was so swollen that my watch left a mark.
Now that I'm up, the swelling is down, although my whole arm feels weird, like I have a pinched nerve or somethng, and my right hand is significantly colder than my left.
I can move it okay, and no trouble grasping anything. What the heck?
Don't know if it's related, but I had issues last night; I felt like I was shaking/vibrating, although no visible tremors.
Then it went into anxiety/panic. I had a heck of a time falling asleep. I kept dozing off then waking up with a jerk like I had been startled.
Anyone know what's up? I do see my LLMD this week, so he'll get a report.

Your immune system was kicking in due to Something! Write it all down (edit out superfluous stuff) & give it to- or discuss it with- your LLMD.
Treat the hand & arm well, do some range-of-motion & stretch exercises & try not to sleep on it. If it calms down, great! Otherwise, get some "professional" advice.

I've had hand issues for years. Especially at night while trying to sleep. Lots of burning, numbness, tingling, etc., and yes, swelling. Improves during the day once I get moving. Still have issues while putting on make-up and blow drying hair because hands go so numb. They feel better when my arms are in the down position.
Oh, and yes, my left side sometimes feels colder than my right. I have a lot of left-sided issues (head to toe). Often I feel more numb and sometimes charlie horsed on left side.
Fun, isn't it?? Just another part of this screwed up disease.
I've always attributed it to the Lyme. Recently, though, I'm learning that metals may have something to do with it. So now I'm looking down that path. First, I am meeting with a biological dentist to deal with my amalgams. Then I'm going to detox metals as safely as possible. Also checking into KPU to help with this.
Wishing you well, Tammy

Metal toxicity can indeed play a role here. Especiallyn mercury. My naturopathic Lyme doc suspected elevated levels of both mercury & lead. The tests results showed High for 1 & borderine high for the other. I've modified my diet & am having amalgams capped with gold or replaced with white fillings as they need work (restoration). I ended up with a mouthful of Hg amalgams as a young teen. Fun fun.
I used to use tin-lead solder in my daily work. Needless to say, I use the lead-free solder now whenever possible & always have cross-ventilation present.
Your case sounds more acute, though. Lyme Can cause local inflammation in wierd places, including the hands (knuckles, tendons). Hope things have improved for you already. BTW... Any rash or bite-mark to be seen?

Watches are the first thing to come off when metal toxicity is suspected if you see any doctor knowledgable in this field, such as Dr.K. Most people are allergic to their watches and the metal they are made of.
Majority of detox takes places midnight into early morning hours and a lot of organ support is needed to move toxins out.
I used to be highly allergic to gold and platinum and major metals. Many people are. www.melisa.org
Take care.

Isn't that interesting??...... I stopped wearing a watch about 10+ years ago for no particular reason. Something internal must have been guiding me. Very cool.

Thanks everyone. the hand thing settled down fairly early on yesterday.
But man, did I have issues with air hunger and heart palps (at least it felt like heart palps, even though when I'd actually take my pulse all was fine).
Since I'll see the LLMD this week, I'm sure I'll be feeling perfect by the time that day rolls around--funny how that works, isn't it?
