I fought my new insurance company and after 4 weeks of haggling, plus a grievance appeal, I won back my IVIG. The thing is, the paperwork states that it has been renewed for 1 year.

For those that have been on IVIG longer than a year and with CIPD dx, have you had to go through all the testing again, for insurance purposes? BlueCross/BlueShield paid for it without question, but now I have this terrible regional insurance, and it is known to be a hassle. I want my ducks in a row up front.

I can't imagine going through this hassle again and again.

What do the rest of you do?

Good question! Like you, we had Blue Cross/Blue Shield which paid for everything without question, now we have UH which questions everything. We are also trying to get the IVIG approved once again. It is a big hassle, especially for medications. Short of changing insurance companies (which is probably not an option), I don't know what one does.
