Good morning and good weekend,

I know my vanity may need to take a backseat until I am further along in recovery, but this is really driving me nuts:

My weight changes by 5 lbs/day on a regular basis. Over the course of a week, my weight can easily change by 10-12 lbs.

I am on mino, zith, plaquneil, and Rx-naproxen (for pain/inflammation). So perhaps some of this is from medications?

On top of everything else, I find it stressful to have my body unpredictably balloon up and down like this.

I eat a generally healthy diet, I avoid salt, and drink only water outside of a daily AM cup of coffee.

Does anyone else get this? Any tips on dealing with it, either practically or emotionally?

Thanks.

Weight fluctuation is perfectly normal.

If you are hydrated that can add 2 lbs, if you have food in your stomach, full bladder, clothing... all these things can make things change within 5 - 10 lbs.

Yes very normal. Lyme really messes with your metabolism and thyroid.

Wonko, its nothing to worry about.

a 3 to 5 pound daily weight fluctuation in humans is not unusual. Its normal.

Think of it as a change of 2% to 3% of your average body weight. For example, i weigh 190 lbs. First thing in the morning, if i weigh myself, i will weigh 185 to 186 lbs.

Later in the day, i will weigh 190 lbs. The fluctuation is only atypical if it gets beyond the 2% to 3% of average body weight.

A 2 to 3% daily weight fluctuation is not connected to LD---it happens to everyone.
