had this for over 6 months now. It also doubles as a painful feeling at times but is always there and annoying.

I have this too. It can range from annoying to scary depending on the intensity.
Someone suggested it might be from my Babesia. I think that is probably right.
I've had it for three or four years, but it got worse this week when I increased my artemesia annua dose.
After speaking to my LLMD we agreed to stop the artemesia for now.

Good Morning from Boston:
I've had this feeling in my throat for a year and half now.
They checked it out a number of times and said there is nothing wrong.
Nothing wrong...just like every other problem in our bodies...
Have a good weekend everyone, Roy

Seems that quite a few lyme patients have this. Search the archives for past discussions.
I had this for a few years. I also started having difficulty swallowing food and would choke.
It's pretty much gone now except for rare flares. Got a lot better after the first year of treatment. Then would come and go but over the past 6 months it is mostly gone. I've been in treatment for a little over 3 years. I think doxy helped the most.
The lump can also be from Gastroesophageal reflux. If you have reflux, you will want to see a doctor because your risk for cancer is higher if you don't treat it.
