Hooray! Horray! I'm Herxing! [woohoo]

Yes, I know that all you hardened Lyme folks will be viewing this with disgust ( [Wink] , I am too relieved to care!

And I'm so overflowing with relief that I had to share!

I haven't got my Igenex results back yet, but I've been told (and read) that the results could be negative even if I have Lyme...

So I was worried, and confused, and feeling like I might never know what's wrong.

But, if I'm herxing, then something has to be working.

And the best news- because I caught this pretty early (I have a lot of symptoms, but they are all mild to moderate), my Herx is not so bad! (yet)

Of course, I'm still hoping my test comes back positive, so that I can get antibiotics, instead of these incredibly expensive herbal pills....

But anyway..

Hooray for Herxing!!!

I'm into my sixth month of two week herx's.

I raise one eyebrow weakly saying YAY I feel like crap!

After three days in bed, I'll be glad when herx's from hell are a thing of the past. Of course I wasn't treated for over two years, so I have a whole lot of them buggers to kill.

I understand your enthusiasm. I share it. I share it quietly because I have no energy.

Die spirochetes! DIE!

Lyme is like the flu. You can get it and recover, but you can always get it again.

I completely understand! [Smile]

I have done the same thing recently, and almost posted a thread on it too!

When I first started abx, I had a cold and I wasn't sure if I was herxing or if it was just the cold.

Then my symptoms continued, but everything has been so weird this year...whose to say it's from treatment or just my new normal.

But now I'm definitely herxing...not bad though.
