but I am still alive (barely)!

I still feel horrible and don't know how long I can live like this. I used to be afraid of death (before lyme), but not now. It has to be easier than this disease.

I'm so sorry Jennie.

I know how you feel, I am going through the same thing right now....

Jennie,

What kind of support system do you have (family, friends, lymenet, church, etc.)?

I too am in the same place right now. Being positive has been a real struggle lately, BUT I decided a long time ago that there is a reason why I am alive the next day. I might not know what the reason is- maybe it is for someone else or maybe for my own life experience and learning.

Please know I am thinking of you and hope you can stay strong.

PM me anytime you need to.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. Last night I was in tears, scared and feeling HORRIBLE. This whole week has been bad with lots of new unpleasant symptoms.

I try to grab hold and make the most of the few good hours I can get every few days and they help me get through the bad ones.

As stated above, a good support group is vital. Even if its only one person, that can be all you need. Everyone needs someone to lean on, talk to, cry to and share with.

This disease is awful and it robs you of your quality of life, but you are not alone. We ALL have terrible days and we all understand what you are going through. This board is a wonderful support system, use it.

After all.....misery LOVES company!! [group hug]

Wow, thanks for this post. I too have had a horrible time the last week or so and been feeling so bad and so lonely.

This is the most bizarre illness!

I'm not afraid to die either. Not ready, but not afraid. Can't believe I'm still here, but there must be a good reason.

My saying.......suffering is not meaningless. And hopefully one day the meaning will manifest itself.

Hang in there, cause you are definetly not alone!

I don't know what I would do right now without my church and their prayers. I've had the same pastor for 36 years, since I was 11 years old!

I feel like most of my family just don't realize how bad this really is. I mean I look ok, except lost weight, so they assume I should feel that way. Most people don't have a clue what lyme disease even is, unless what it feels like.

It may just be the changing of the seasons affecting our hormones.

My birds have gone nuts.

It should level out soon. Keep on keeping on.
