I have been experiencing increasing amounts of floaters, what I have heard be described as visual snow (static-like vison), pain within/behind the eyes, and flashes or flicks of blue light in my vision. I also have ringing in ears which usually happens suddenly as a high pitch ring and slowly fades out. Some pain inside ears as well. I sometimes get this very itchy/prickly sensation all over, sometimes accompanied by the sensation of water being flicked onto my skin, or burning within. Doesnt usually last very long. Muscle twitches and tremors too. Before being diagnosed with lyme I was seen by neurologists (amongst many other doctors) and had an MRI of the brain, as well as two spinal MRI's. Everything was normal.

I was diagnosed with lyme and bartonella in september and have been on oral abx since. I was symptomatic for 14 months. I am currently taking azithromycin, nystatin, mepron, and bactrim. I am prescribed to start 2 grams of rocephin IV.

Has anyone experienced these visual symptoms? Neuro symptoms? Has anyone experienced these symptoms somewhat subsiding when beginning combination oral abx, but then soon returning? Is it normal to feel like I was progressing and suddenly like Im heading backwards in progress?

Im 23 years old and just feel like Im totally lost with all of this suff. Id appreciate any feedback. Hope everyone sees better days,

Ross

Forgot to mention, I had two Labcorp Western Blot tests, both with bands 18, 23, 39, 41, two Labcorp Elisa's testing positive and a positive IgeneX test (dont remember the exact bands).

I get tons of eye symptoms.

Flashing lights are a big one for me, black spots at night - not floaters but a bunch of black spots all over the walls, a sort of ceiling fan shadow at the top of my vision when I look down, eye pain, light sensitivity.

I also have alot of ear symptoms.

Treating for just lyme but I suspect I have a co as well.

I have lots of eye and ear symptoms. Light and sound sensitivity, lights flashing, floaters, spots, ears ring nonstop for years, ear pain, painful to move my eyes, yeah everything!

I also have the weird skin sensations. I totally know what you mean by the water/burning sensation!!

My MRI was normal too. That doesn't really say much though! Most of my symptoms came after I started treating the Lyme.

I think in a sense it is normal to go backwards for a while because you are disturbing the bugs, therefore they feel like they need to fight harder. And we end up feeling much sicker!

Good luck, I hope that you start to feel much better soon!!
