I was going to try out Dr. B's guidelines where he recommends 400 mg 1x a day ( I think it's 1x a day). I've never gone above that.

just bringint this back up in case some can tell me brands they have had best luck with

i did order from dr m - not sure if we say his name here thinking it would be best...but it really didn't seem any better than my NOW and it was all separated

i know his stuff is supposed to be great...

hes in WA state i think and gigi talks about him

anyway...it seems the pain i got from the lipitor poisoning is getting worse...or spreading. so i wanted to up the dose again

i took 600 for a month or so but i seemed to plateau with function and pain. now that it is getting a little worse i want to up it and see what happens or get a better brand

i am exercising uch more so it is possible i am just working muscles harder etc...but the "pain" is very very specific. not exactly like an overworked muscle-but similar. its like an ache that gets so bad its painful...and today there was weakness too. I DO NOT WANT TO GO BACK TO THE WALKER!!!!

thanks.

It's hard to tell if they're working or not... so hard to say if a certain brand is good. (IMO)

I have taken TwinLab (vitacost) and their NSI brand of ubiquinol. Ubiquinol is the most absorbable form of CoQ10.

I like the Healthy Origins brand "Ubiquinol". I take the 100mg softgel but it also comes in a 200mg strength.

Cost for 60 of the 200mg softgels on iherb is about $50. It's pricey to take such a high dose but if you need it then this is good stuff.

Go for ubiquinol over regular CoQ10.

Healthy origins, Jarrow, Doctor's Best are decent brands (all use the same ubiquinol anyway) and order online to save money.

Split doses will absorb better than all at once, taken ideally after a meal.

This is what I use twice a day. Not cheap but well worth it in my opinion:

http://www.lef.org/Vitamins-Supplements/Item01426/Super-Ubiquinol-CoQ10-with-Enhanced-Mitochondrial-Support.html

There might be some discount websites where you can get it cheaper, but make sure it's the Ubiquinol-CoQ10-with-Enhanced-Mitochondrial-Support (without soybeans in it because the have two kinds). The other one is cheaper, but not as good as this one.
