OK. I'm on Clindy and I've seen warnings about c-diff and taking good probiotics. I have purchased VSL #3 --- how much of that do you take per day?
And what is c-diff anyway? lol

I dont have c-diff and I use the VSL 3 and Itake 4 tabs every evening. Each capsule contains 225 billion...I think it has helped me the most and I have tried many different kinds of probiotics.
Also, what has been helpful for me is drinking coconut milk kefir with the VSL 3 at night.

I have been taking Clindamycin for some time, and I have not had any yeast issues. I use one packet of prescription VSL#3DS daily, and I take four pills of Nystatin daily.

nelly .. I would get the s. boulardii to make sure. Any antibiotic can cause c.diff but clindamycin is worse than the others at causing it. You must have the probiotics, and the s.boulardii is extra protection for c.diff.
You need to call your prescription service to see if VSL#3 DS is on their list of approved prescriptions. It has to be the DS for them to cover it.
mookie.. If you'll read the label carefully, you'll see that it's 225 per SERVING .. which is two pills per day. So it's 225 divided by 2.

VSL#3 Double Strength (DS) is prescription. If your insurance pays for part of it, you should only have a co-pay. It is great quality.
