yesterday started on mepron 750mg 2x daily and zithromax 500mg 1 a day.. i did test pos for babesios about a year ago and remember takin this cycle of meds but dont recall if it was helpful.. i was told to take for 3 weeks then one week off and back for 3 weeks? does this sound correct? thnx again to all for your support and helpful advice !!!

Mepron and Zithromax can be good meds to treat Babs. Some doctors prescribe them continuously, some prescribe three weeks on and one week off.
When I took Mepron and Zithromax, I used them continuously.

3 weeks on and 1 week off Mepron was my Rx, but I was not instructed to be off the macrolide for that week unless treating another coinfection (like levaquin for Bart, for ex, b/c you can't take a macrolide + quinoline simultaneously).
