Buhner recommends Japanese knotweed (resveratrol), red root, and boneset tea.. Also he suggests Cryptolepis for both Babs and Bart.

My daughter is using Bar1, which she finds is more effective than Abart.

Cumanda is also known to be effective for bart.

I too have had really good luck with the Bar 1 product by Healthy Directions in Rohnert Park, CA

Herx's have been gentle if not mostly non-existent, yet progress has been very good.

Miserable, whapped on the abx, will never do it again if I can help it. Much prefer the herbs, at least so far so good. I figure if the herbs dn't continue to work, then we can talk about abx again.

My doc also says resveratrol is very good for bartonella.

-Bar-1 by Beyond Balance (They used to be Healthy Directions, but just changed their name) - really helped my daughter's Bart a lot
-Houttunya (either Zhang or Nutramedix)
-Deseret Biologicals Bartonella Series

They only drawback with the Bar1 is the cost involved. I buy it for my daughter without a practitioner and it costs me $80 every three weeks. That's in addition to all the other supplements. To me it's still worth the cost.

Can you just take Bar-1 by itself or do you have to use a frequency machine with it?

Zhang's HH is another one but you have to take A LOT of it.
There is also clove bud oil and Samento - again you need a massive amount and it will not cure you.

I've heard good things about deseret nosodes for Bart.

Also HH2 is the houttuynia capsules worth getting.

Dr Schaller had Zhang reformulate it to make it stronger.

To those who have now used Bar1 (or any of the Healthy Directions formulas) for a length of time, what symptoms have been eliminated or helped?

Specifically, was headache, fatigue, anxiety, and/or muscle aches helped by using the Bar1, BB, or Bab1/2 products? Which one relieved which symptoms? Also, how many drops were/are you using with each formula?

(Feel free to pm me privately if you feel more comfortable doing so.)

Thanks!

I am now on Bar-1 and have been for 3 weeks. Within 24 hours of starting it, I felt much calmer and this has continued. I started on 10 drops a day and am slowly working my way up to 20 drops a day. Also my headaches and eye pain have gone. I am now on Samento too, 10 drops a day.

Cheryl,

Perhaps you are starting on too high a dose? My dd started on 1 drop and has only worked up to 5 drops over 6 weeks--not due to herxing, just what was prescribed to her. It has been excruciatingly slow, and if it was up to me, I'd up her dose quicker. However, her LLND is guiding us, so we are following her protocol. LLND energy tests and said this is the rate that we should proceed.

Too early for us to give a yay or nay yet for the Beyond Balance products, but dd's energy and mood have definitely improved, not sure if it is due to the herbs, though I strongly suspect it is.

Please keep us posted on how you do!

Wishing you success---

Well, I can't do the alcohol. But I still would like to know what the ingredients are in both Bar-1 and A-Bart.

Thanks,

OK, but I really think you are overestimating the amount of alcohol in those herbal tinctures. We are talking tiny tiny tiny amounts.

I take 30 drops of A-Bart 2x / day and am on Tindamax and have been on Flagyl with it. ZERO issues.

Ok... The ingredients in Bar 1 are: Cat's Claw, Jamaican Sarsarilla, Pau d'Arco, Burdock, Blessed Thistle, Mullein, Oregon Grape, Vegetable Glycerine and Filtered Water. It does not list alcohol as an ingredient.

So far I think this has been helping me. I'm taking 12 drops a day and I feel it's lessening my anxiety and helping my brain fog. Hopefully the improvements will continue!

I was sensitive to alcohol in tinctures before going on Flagyl. The Flagyl makes me even more sensitive to it, even the smell is enough to turn my stomach.

Thanks for posting the Bar 1 ingredients. Good thing I asked, because I'm allergic to sarsaparilla. But I can take the individual herbs and make my own mix. I already use Burdock daily for bowel health.

Thanks,

What is the best source of A-bart, Bar-1?

Does anyone have a favorite store/link to share?

Thanks!

so you are planning on about 100 $ / month for this supplement?

how long do you take it? is there supposed to be an expected end date for the treatment? on average?
