Couple of EKG's have shown some QT interval action . and I'm on some meds that affect/or can ,but not sure if other things can cause this....

Like low potassium, mag etc......

I don't want to stop the bug killers ....but am concerned. I thought I had question out. will look again..

Need input am, testing again soon.

Found previous post .....but still does mag .and potassium have anything to do with this????

The fluconazole seemed to have help throat and swallowing issues.

Does pain affect the test??? Are there any supplements to help????

I just so don't want to go back wards on treatment, it's not kicked in yet...Everybody says it takes time.

But some things that were better are back. Don't know if it's the migrating symptom thing or what.

I know this is weird but the same body odor that I had when I first got sick ,5 years plus.....
went away ,until recently. That was one of the off basic issues that got to the brucellosis test.

This was gone for 3 years at least and it's the 2nd time this month ,so far..NOT regular BO, just different.

OK some of you are awake now..... [Razz]

I had way bad day,all most all sleep, yesterday until 2 am today, and then had a bit of relief.

Still up all night checking drug interactions and how my left chest was acting ,feeling.

Y
Yesterday I didn't even know if house was empty or not. So out of it. So what ever is knocking me out is real powerful...illness , herx .This happened at start of disease.

I think a bit might be Potassium. Has been problem before, just I'm weaker and it might be doing worse things along with meds.

Nonna,

We need potasium but we need a very particular balance of it. Talk to your doctor.

Referring back to your other thread about this where you asked about Fluconazole, and as you said your pharmacist cautioned you against it:

-------------------

Cross search: Rx name, QT

For instance, a cross search for: Diflucan, QT

leads me to many links. One of those:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluconazole

Excerpt:

. . . Fluconazole therapy has been associated with QT interval prolongation . . . .

------------------

I've always had good experiences with magnesium regarding my heart rhythm. It usually HELPS normalize it.

Search Google: magnesium, QT

-------------------

Lyme and other toxic infections can CAUSE abnormalities in QT / heart rhythm.

So can certain nutritional deficiencies.

So can heavy metals and other toxic exposures (inks, dyes, chemicals, perfumes, etc.).

Be sure to communicate with your LLMD about all this. QT blips are sometimes just a temporary glitch but, sometimes, need more attention.

Your LLMD is the one best suited to guide you. He may refer you on but, likely, he will be able to help you. QT shifts are very common with lyme, et.al.

About body odor:

You may want to recheck your liver support plan.

Body odor can mean you are not getting enough water. You may also need more Vitamin C.

Getting enough fiber in your diet? If not, body odor can be a result. We need lots of fiber to move spent waste on out.

If you wear synthetic fabrics you might want to switch to breathable cotton and dress in layers so your skin can breathe. Wool is good for outer layers, if you can wear it.

LL Bean has the best cotton, wool offerings. Lands' End used to but their quality has taken a dive in recent years. Orvis and Norm Thompson also have cotton shirts.

Avoid lotions and oils on your skin if they tend to hold in the heat for you. Especially, though, avoid any personal care product that contains petroleum products (see links from the next thread posted).

Be sure to avoid all additives, dyes, artificial sweeteners, etc.

Assuming you are gluten-free, if you have somehow gotten gluten that can cause body odor.

Google: Hidden+Sources+of+Gluten

Going scent-free and chemical free in your home can really help your body have less to detox.

Especially if you might have a computer or printer in your bedroom, that printer ink (even when not working but more so then) can make you toxic. I think I recall your having mentioned that before.

Turn the thermostat way down and then open windows twice a day for a nice quick flush of fresh air (but not so much that the walls and furnishings get so cold that you have to turn up the heat. Just a few minute air flush).

Avoid any kinds of processed beverages (either liquid or from powder mix). They can cause body odor for various reasons. Better:

http://dailydetoxtea.com/

Daily Detox TEA

-------------

A warm (not hot - not hot) bath in epsom salts should help. Twenty minutes max. The rest a bit with warm tea.

More leafy greens & fresh parsley in your diet . . . chlorophyll (green liquid in dark glass bottle from nutrition store).

Some medicines can affect body odor, mostly in how they might add stress to organs of detoxification. So, gently & consistently supporting all that really matters.

Most often, more water will help.

"fume smells in the car" ?

If from YOUR car, it's important to have that checked out. Be sure your muffler has not been obstructed by some mud, - or there is not something else going on.

From other cars, as you approach stop lights, close your air vent so less of the exhaust from cars ahead comes to you. But keep your distance both when driving and stopping . . . don't get right up to the their exhaust.

If your air vents or heating system does not have a fresh air feature, open your windows every now and then when in clear zones (away from spewing buses, etc.). Every car needs some fresh air exchange.

Pretty sure you don't do this but don't let anyone else bring in any kind of "air freshener" into your car or any car you ride in. They are very toxic.

Be sure to avoid perfumed car washes, too. Now, assuming they use salt on the roads where you are, it's important to wash that out from underneath your car frequently, but find a car wash that is scent-free.

We need potasium but we need a very particular balance of it. Talk to your doctor.

Magnesium usually helps heart rhythm but, again, your LLMD is best to guide you on amounts and timing.

Magnesium must be 2 - 3 times a day. The kidneys cannot handle a full day's amount at one time, and it all washes out too soon.
