How long is too long to stay off ABX while recovering from herx?

I was on abx for about a month but this herx has wiped me out. I've been off them for 5 days (ceased herbals and coconut oil as well) and still waiting for some symptoms to clear. I feel like I need more time to heal the gut and detox.

Oh, another question too:

Is there any reason not to do a detox bath every night?

Do you have coinfections?? With Lyme itself, you could stay off a few weeks, but not usually with coinfections.

Good question. I need more testing.
I do have some candida floating around so I am doing Diflucan. Would that still be herxing me?

I was on Ceftin, Biaxin, Amantadine, Banderol and Cumanda (as well as the Diflucan and Coconut oil).
Dropped everything but the Diflucan last week.

If I want to slow the herx, should I remove immuno-stimulating supplements too?

I'm wondering the same thing. I've been on abx over five months and have been off for six days. How long of a break is OK?

Usually the herx reaction has cleared after a few days, from what I understand. Some doctors want you to keep going, some say to take 3 to 5 days off.
