I've been seeing a very good LLMD in Northern CA, (Dr. H) for over a year an a half. However, I am showing little improvement. I am doing various antibiotic, and herbal treatments. I am currently on IV rocephin (via a weekly peripheral line), Coartem and soon to start Clindimycin, with 2 herbals for babesia added. I've had Lyme for 22plus years, but didn't get sick until 7 years ago, and diagnoised 2 years ago.
I have tried many different combinations for the last 18-months with little improvement. I've been on the IV rocephin for 2 months and it has helped a little. At my last appointment he told me I am not progressing fast enough, which was very discouraging. I have Lyme, Bartonella, and Babesia.
I think I might be at the point where I need to try an alternative route.
Does anyone know or have had success with a naturopathic doctor? I want to try the ART testing because I could be missing something.
Any advice would be great. Thanks

I recently had to change directions too. I was seeing the best of the best on the east coast and getting sicker and sicker.
I now see an ART practitioner who found that I cannot tolerate most of the meds/supps I was taking. Instead of throwing more antibiotics at me, she is going to start treating parasites, viruses and fungi.

I see the same Doctor as you. I have not made much progress either and I've been treating for almost a year now.
I looked into others in the area and haven't come up with much. I did see a LLND that was pretty good, if you want the name, pm me and I will give it to you.
I am focusing on parasites now as I know I have them. Going to work on those first and move on from there once I can get them knocked down or hopefully gone. Doing lot's of binders too.
Dr H said that I haven't made the progress that he would like to see too, by this time. I do think he's a great Doctor, we are just missing something that's preventing us from moving further in treatment.
Have you seen the LLND in his office?

derk diggler- I am located in Stockton, CA. (Northern CA)
birdie67-Yes, please PM me I really need to seek other options. I have not seen the LLND in his office, however I think I might look into it because I have heard a few good things about her. I want to treat parasites also. What meds are you taking? I have a feeling this might be a strong contributer in my illness.
lax mom- I'm glad you figured that out. I think I have trouble tolerating some of the meds to. I really want to have the ART testing done, but can't find anyone who does it in my area. I did email the betterhealthguy but he is extremely busy through the holiday season.

Lauren - I would definitely look for a certified ART practitioner. I know there is at least one in your State and a number of them in WA.
It is worth the travel and or wait. My experience is without ART it is like shooting in the dark.
