What can I do with all the abx I have left? Is it illegal to give them away?
I even have tindazole that has a seal on the unopened bottle.
Lots of these meds are just a few months old.
I am doing much better with rife and Cowden, so I hope I won't need the meds.

- Yes, it is illegal to give to someone any medicine prescribed for another person.
Even if a person has been prescribed the same Rx, it is still illegal to give anyone else an Rx that has been prescribed for you. It's not just about the name of the medicine but the actual pills you got, too.
I am not a moderator here or in any way connected to lymenet. I'm not suggesting anything - just sharing my thoughts.
While it seems very reasonable and even generous to give them to someone who needs it, this would be best for someone who has a LL doctor who has prescribed this exact medicine for them in the form you have (brand, or generic can make a huge difference, though).
By all means, you cannot sell it. (That could land you in jail.) If you give it away, do not broadcast that and be extremely wise about it (still not legal, no matter how careful you might be).
Still, I'd save it. See how long until the expiration date and if it's a while save it in case you need it. Or if a relative or close friend might need it.
If someone visits you and is bitten by a tick, this could be a life saver for them.
Be aware, though, no matter how kind and smart (or quiet) you may be in sharing, if whoever might get it has any kind of medical emergency and (even if not caused by the Rx), if that could be traced back to you, you won't likely go to jail but some expensive legal fines could pile up.
If they wind up in a coma or die, though, jail could be a possibility, again, even if your Rx may not have been the direct cause. It's just really important to know this.
So know anyone who may get this, know they are not likely to down it with a beer and nachoes, so to speak - or with other drugs that could interfer.
I'm glad you are doing well with rife and Cowden. If you are certain that there is no way you will ever use this, IMO, someone else should have the chance.
If there is no one you know well who may benefit, you might call the shelters in your area and see if they can take medicines that are still in a blister pack.
Even a seal on an unopened bottle may not be enough for some clinics but it may, depending upon the seal. They each would have their own regulations, I suppose.
In the past, I've taken unused meds to my GP but he was not allowed to do anything but throw them away. But some doctors are connected to local clinics. I'm just not sure how to find them.
You area lyme support groups may have some professionals names who can legally pass these on to low income clinics, etc.
For legal purposes and to keep LymeNet out of trouble, there is no way to legally give / send any poster here a prescribed medicine. It could put LymeNet at risk if their PM function is used for that (as I understand it).
It is also illegal to MAIL to another any Rx that was prescribed to you. Postal Service Rules really matter, too. -

Why not just hang on to them till they expire? Never know for sure if you will be needing them again.
I have a virtual pharmacy in my cabinet and do not throw anything out till it expires.

Some laws are made to be broken. And this is one of them in my opinion.
I gave hubby's left over meds to a doc who gives them to patients who are in financial difficulties. Yes the doc is breaking the law also.
I used to have an address for a charity that collected left over meds to send to Aids patients in foreign countries -- apparently it was legal for them to send the meds out of the country. Ironic isn't it.
And yes I did give some sample meds to a free clinic once -- but they must be in a blister pack as Keebler mentioned -- not just a regular prescription bottle.
