Who is your mail order pharmacy benefits company? If it is Medco, you will have trouble gettng these meds. They are sending out letters quoting IDSA misinformation about lyme.
Actually, any meds you buy at a local pharmacy are going to be seen by your insurance company, because they are paying presumably.
It could be a lot cheaper to get your meds mail order.

I find that I still use my local pharmacy quite a bit. Anytime I get a new med, I take it to my pharmacy.
You usually need to try out new meds for a few weeks or a month before going to a 90-day.

My husband and I do this for many of our meds. It's never been required for abx, but is usually required for typical long-term meds like antidepressants.
We have had no trouble, even when moving abx to 90-day fills. No denials. No questions.
