For those in Chicagoland, check out the Lyme article that appeared on the front page (and more) in today's Thursday, August 22, 2013 paper written by reporter Robert McCoppin.
It's a pretty good article, but the map showing low/high risk areas might be somewhat understated. The reporter does admit that many cases are undiagnosed and unreported.
The article, although not totally comprehensive, is a good start in the right direction of educating the public and, hopefully, doctors.

Surprised to hear they got anything right about lyme, based on previous coverage which was lousy info.

I agree, Poppy. Previous reporters were sketchy and often printed errouneous info about Lyme. This recent article surprised me on its coverage.
I wonder if the writer has a loved one or friend that has Lyme. Sometimes experience is the best teacher.
