I just started doing the nasal protocol of Dr. B. from Missouri, which involves amphotericin b and EDTA both up the nose via a nasal atomizer. I've only been on it for two days.
I *am* concerned about the amphotericin b and ear toxicity as obviously I can't afford to go Deaf with everything else, but even in two days the amp b both makes my head feel a little clearer and then gives me significant chills -- which has made me wonder if it could be hitting babs???
I opted for the much more toxic (not by nose?) amp b largely because it works on things like histoplasmosis and blastomycosis and aspergillosis (aspergillus was found in high levels in my house) whereas other antifungals don't. I suspect part of the reason Dr. B has had good results (He presented these as ILADS in Oct. last year) is because his patients are likely mostly from the Midwest, where *all* of the infections I just mentioned are more prevalent as they tend to blow around in soil.
I'm wondering who has done this whole protocol, do you feel it was hitting anything else (i.e. babs) and if anyone did in combination with HBOT (I'm concerned about barotrauma if it negatively impacts my ears at all, but maybe a combination would *help* it get into brain and tissues). Did it help you? How long did you stay on?
I know it's a risky drug, and while I have seen it claimed it's far less toxic given nasally, I don't know where the evidence is to support that (would love references if anyone has them).
