Hello! I'm just starting IV Rocephin and am curious as to what I should expect with this type of treatment. This is my first time doing IV abx and I just want to make sure I'm prepared. I'm a little nervous!

I'm starting at 500mg and will eventually increase to 2g over the course of 6 weeks. I disco ruined doxy and am now on Plaquenil and azithromyzin.

Any input would be much appreciated! Thanks!

One question, why are you starting at 500mg and eventually working your way up to 2g? Why not just start at 2g daily? That is the typical dose, or pulsed and taken twice daily.

Rocephin is helpful for most people. How much it helps varies.

Do a quick search and you will find lots of posts on the topic. "Search" is found near the top, under the "post a poll" box. This is a very helpful resource to keep in mind and use often.

Rocephin helped me more than years of orals and was a lot easier to take.

Watch your diet, stay low on the carbs.

I took rocephin for 8 months with really no problems and it was what knocked the lyme out for me,

My gut is now all out of whack and its just as bad as lyme so watch your diet and take probiotics.
