I have this issue. I am on glutamate helping supplements for it for a few years and my genetic person has finally helped me maintain a mostly pain free day, but
does anyone know anything that can help this go away?
will seeing a 'real' LLMD- one following Dr B or etc, make a difference with this?

- Q: " . . . will seeing a 'real' LLMD- one following Dr B or etc, make a difference with this? . . . " (end quote)
Not if you continue to take glutamate / glutamine. Glutamate / glutamine can contribute to brain inflammation, big time.
Yes, if you can stop that and of course, it's best to have a "real" LLMD - or a LL ND - to address lyme, other tick borne issues. Of course, if at all possible. Infection & support issues must be addressed.
Also see the books by Stephen H. Buhner for he has so many explanations not just for what we might do but also why / how lyme & TBD affect the body, specifically.
In the meantime:
Q: " . . . does anyone know anything that can help this go away? . . . "
The first step, and most important, is to stop taking glutamine supplementation. Be sure your magnesium is 3 - 4 x a day and the right dose & form for your body.
Be sure to avoid gluten, possibly dairy (for the inflammation) . . . and be sure to get plenty of good fats and adequate protein with also bright colored veggies with each meal.
Sleep, too, helps the brain heal.
Glutamate can be toxic to the brain of someone with lyme. You might want to explore other methods. I assume you take it for your stomach (?).
L-Glutamine can help heal the gut lining, however, it may be best to start with a very tiny dose like 1/8 teaspoon - but even that can be dangerous for some with lyme
for those with neurological issues, be very careful with only the lowest dose possible (if other things do not first work). Here's why: too much can damage our nerve cells because of the myelin sheath compromise lyme causes.
It can also lower the seizure threshold severely. I found that out the hard way, over and over as it was not clear to me until I stumbled upon the articles in set below.
It can also make anxiety zoom to the moon. No one with anxiety issues connected with lyme should be taking this as a supplement (beyond as an short term stomach helper, very short term).
Phenylalanine (3 excitatory amino acids that can be wrong for us when added as supplements, beyond a normal dietary level)
Seaweed has its own natural MSG (monosodium glutamate) and can be very excitatory -

thanks Keebler, I am not on any glutamate, etc- I need to get rid of it because my body makes way too much of it.
What I meant was I am on supplements that help me with this.
I have a terrible stomach. nothing seems to help.
I can never sleep much.
I am gluten free and dairy free (occasional cheese).
and omygosh I have constant anxiety and other crazy reactionary issues too. and seeing things sometimes- or hearing things that aren't there. and tinnitus 24/7

- Thanks for clearing that up.
My eyes jump around and I did not see the second part of your sentence. I see now that I saw wrong.
" . . . I am on glutamate helping supplements . . . .
"seeing things that aren't there . . .hearing . . ." be very careful to whom you mention this. It's not so much that you might be hearing things that aren't there, or seeing . . . but that your nerve endings are literally firing too much.
That can create all kinds of tinnitus (likely connected to hearing things within your ears / brain and even to having eyes jump around. MAGNESIUM deficiency is the best helper for that. But for anyone with any degree of vertigo, the inner / middle ear system can cause vision to be "jumpy"
Sleep hygiene is the thing that matters most. Even if we have trouble sleeping, it's vital to get the hygiene right and just rest or read in dim light . . . with amber glasses on. Red night nights, etc. Turning off all electronics an hour before we should be in bed.
Soft music, draw, move very gently. There are still things we can do without electronics to train our brains that it's going to be lights out on time. This is my hardest part.
Look up "Sleep Hygiene" for a start. -

sleep hygiene- ok!
I do take MAG. not sure how much I should take though, no one ever tells me a specific amount. I never really feel a difference when I take it. I know it takes a long time to show changes in your body- like a year I heard, but still. it's been years for me.
I guess if I stop Mag then I might notice ?
