We haven't had any yet. I think tonight after midnight. 2 inches in the city or a wet mix of snow/rain that doesn't stick. West of the city is a different story.... but the weather forecasts usually aren't accurate.

Yep, it's only going to be in the 50's here today. For us Californians...that is frigid!

It really bites battling the weather while trying to battle the disease. Last year was bad enough, I don't know that I'll make it through this year. I have a head cold on top of it right now....all's that I can say when looking at the forecast is "uugh!". Mid-40s out now so no snow in sight yet.

My brother got snow in Houston yesterday!! It snowed for about 7 hrs. Only about an inch and a half stuck... most melted.
We'll get snow next week here.
Oh joy... I don't mind snow.. it's the freezing RAIN that scares the life out of ME!
We may get freezing "drizzle" Sunday night.. let's hope it's slim to none!

Snowing all afternoon--puppy's first--but we're only expecting 2 to 4 inches. I love it! Have a big pot of turkey and wild rice soup, a fire and a cup of tea. I love the quiet...

No snow in San Francisco yet. Will let you know if it happens.
One year, I think it was 1963, we got one inch of snow in the bay area. We gathered up the snow in our yard and made one snowman. We took a drive around later that day and saw that many others had the same idea!
TC, don't you winter in Florida?

Robin- i lived in berkeley as a child-- xmas's are SO different out there-- then moved east.
the first year here i saw my first real snow- in fact, a blizzard--over 2 feet of snow, and just in time for xmas.
i'll never forget how magical that snow seemed as it fell all day xams eve , and then waking up to a white xmas morning.
TC- snow. well, what has fallen is pitiful, an inch or so of wet wet snow, good for short snow ball battles, but not much else.
i hear that it will snow more if enough folks wear their pajamas inside out.....

We had a little snow in the Ga. mountains this am.
We are lucky if it snows once a year! tonite is going to be only
28 degrees, BRRRR, I have a fire going.

It has snowed here at least 6-8 times already.
Once a 6-8 incher that stuck.
Night time lows in the single digits.
elsewhere in the state other day nite time low was MINUS 7.
Wind chills regularly below zero already.
and expected to go colder next week.
have i said yet,,,I hate winter!!!
Hope the worm turns and snow quits and warm all thru the rest of the year, otherwise it makes for a real long winter.
Cant wait,yeah right,,on the 25-30 below weather we get every year.
And if ya think its cold here,,,its colder up north!!
AND people work here outside all winter long!!!
Last year saw a crew out framing a house all day long,,,on Christmas Day of all days!!! In deep snow and COLD temps!!
Yikes, ya have to be crazy to live HERE!!!

You're right!
We all aren't like you! YOU are a special one! Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound and all that razz ma tazz. Hustling and bustling in waist deep snow with the winds blowing 30 MPH.
Yeah.... I know how you are. BUT... you do have some strange behaviors. Oh yes you do. Don't get me started!
What, you say not? Ok.. how about this one?
Most of us don't call our cows, our girlfriends! Ha ha on THAT you little wuss!
But, then again, some do call their girlfriends cows.
Anyhow... stay warm... and the next time you see a flake of snow flying around looking for somewhere to settle down...

And just as I was going to crawl under the bed and hide... and darn it all... I keep forgetting it is a WATER bed and you can't crawl UNDER it.... (ouch on bumping my head trying that one again)... but anyhow...
The computer service gave out. And the satellite TV quit. And no cell phone. My tummy hurts and I didn't want food. The cold draft- I FINALLY found where it was coming in after FOUR years- was freezing me out...
And I just sat here all by my lonesome, singing to myself.
And then, and then... the biggest insult of all..
The mice heard me singing and they took off! They said they would rather be in the freezing cold snow and ice outside than hear me singing!

we might get some tonight...it looks meanacing out there.
and it is forcasted for monday and tuesday...but we are lucky if it stays on the ground.
it is icy out though. so thankful for my warm mittens and coat and ugg slippers.

Hey, LittleLymie, just how much snow are you getting? Enough to make snowpeople? I'm jealous - I want some snow in SF - we haven't had any in a looooong time!
Altho a couple seasons back, they trucked in some snow to Union Square, made a snowhill, complete with ski instructors, and little kids got a taste of skiing down the hill. It was so cute to watch!

We got it here too. The first snow for us, which I always like.
Andie, it was our puppy's first as well. So funny to watch her freaking out over it. But also funny how quickly she got used to it!
I do like the snow. The only thing I don't like is that our driveway is about a 1/4 mile long, uphill, and is in very bad condition. Not fun to slip and slide all over the place.
Here's a picture of two of my dog daughters enjoying the snow. Puppy was so excited that she was just a running blur.
The other dog daughter could do without it and usually watches her sisters from inside on the window seat.

all you that got NO snow can come scoop mine.
It snowed for like 5 hours yesterday.
Today it was a balmy 7 degrees this morning.
And it is headed colder.
Minus 5 to 10 within a couple days.
I want to move south already,,the birds do. Does that make me a bird brain??
Your job,,,should you choose to accept it,,,is to find me something I could do for a profit in the
balmy south to support me in the way I wish to be accustomed

It did indeed snow in SE TX last week. The roadways were a major safety hazard. You've never seen so many people driving like hogs on ice skates. All you can do is stay home and wait it out.

Well, now you know why I moved from New Jersey to sunny Florida. This last year has been the best weatherwise in my life.
I'm sitting here at 8:20 PM, in shorts and it's 75 degrees. I think we hit 83 today and it was sunny. Every thing is green and the bougainvilea is blooming, along with all the other beautiful flowers.

Elaine, do us a favor - go into a novelty store, find one of those little plastic circle toys with a snowman in it and some snow, turn it upside down and shake it a few times,

Not on your life ! Naw, naw. You would have to drag me away screaming.
I'm finally thawed out after all those years. Don't need to slip and slide on the ice and snow.
I'll take a lighted palm tree anytime. Our Santa wears bathing trunks and drinks a margarita on the beach at sunset.
If I get a desire for snow, I'll just watch the news, shiver and then go outside with a big smile on my face.
Keep warm and watch the ice patches.

We had several inches here in PA on Saturday 12/5, but we were in NYC at the time where it was mostly raining with some very wet slushy snow that melted as soon as it touched the ground.
It was 70 degrees in NYC on Thursday when we arrived there!
Last night and this morning we had several inches of snow that turned to sleet.
My husband just spent 3 hours snowblowing the heaviest snow he can remember, before going to the office.
It won't keep me home though.....just put the Suburban in 4WD and go.

I adore all four seasons, and I love winter, though I prefer a short, snowy one.
Just a dusting of snow here, but the high winds are causing people to chase their Christmas decorations.
Cold. Right now it is 6 degrees with the wind chill. But I look at the bright side: I'm not having to check my dogs for ticks!

I was just thinking about the tick thing yesterday. Haven't seen a one!
It's very windy and cold here too. I can hear things blowing around out on our breezeway. I hope my drying gourds don't blow away.
Munch, Oreo is adorable. He looks pretty annoyed with the snow and anxious to get back inside!
Glad you liked the picture, Elaine. I found it amusing that not one foot was touching the ground. She's like a little hover craft or something.
