Was looking up to see if the plantain I fixed for breakfast was cooked right. It tasted great, but suddenly I remembered something in the back of my brain saying it couldn't be eaten raw, so was double checking the details.

Always good to check to see if you will die from eating something AFTER you've eaten it, huh? Oh well.

Found this site- after just last night buying a sack of ripe bananas for 25 cents a lb. Good, fast and easy ways to do a fun banana recipe for supper, breakfast or school lunches? Smoothie recipes seem nice, as do others. Look at their Menu Bar on the left.

Soooo, that commercial has not aired in, how many dozens of years? And now I'm singing it, not missing one word of the lyrics.

Thanks for the memories but now sure wish I could find other zippy tune to fill my brain !

It says this commercial was produced in the 1940's and was only shown in movie theaters. I must have gone to a lot of movies cause I remember the song too!

AH! I know NOW why I know that song- I wasn't even alive in the 40's so that had me puzzled! My dad use to sing all sorts of songs- especially on long car trips. That was one of them.
