Nothing like buying your allegiance and support.
They should make lobbying illegal in my very humble opinion.
A million dollars plus wouldn't change my view on Lyme, but then wait....
I suffe with it daily as do many people I love and care about.
I wish I lived closer and could participate physically in protests and such.
I agree. Those who went are wonderful beyond words.
Thank you for helping me and others by being our voice when we can't.
God Bless.
Hugs,
Geneal

Many thanks to those who went to the protest in support of the bill. I know how much it cost, not just in money, but in precious energy, to be there.

Thanks so much to all who went. If I had been feeling even a little better I would have tried to go.
Really, Thank you.

Is it me? I can't get either link above to work.
The first is an error message and the second takes you to tinyURL with the same link as the first.

I just typed Lyme in the search & they came up. Nice Pics!
I'm glad they didn't get one of me when the wind made me hit myself in the head with my sign. LOL
I hope nobody really saw that, but then again, that's Lyme Disease for ya.
Here's another article from the daily record: Daily Record
A HUGE THANK YOU to whoever was responsible for bringing the extra signs.
I had actually thought about making a sign that said:
Couldn't find the supplies Couldn't make a decision Couldn't find the time Couldn't make my sign Why? I HAVE LYME!!!!
I realized that it would have been a SIGN and therefore totally senseless. Perhaps that would have REALLY conveyed the problems we have and why we need the research. Oh well, maybe next time.
Thanks to everyone who couldn't be there but made the calls! It's great to know that we were hitting them from all angles!!!

I was there (only live 1 town over) and I met many amazing people.
Everyone really banded together to get their voices heard.
Pat Smith rocked the house with her speech and encouragement.
Pallone's statement made me want to throw up. Nothing but the same old he has to see both sides of the story, blah, blah.
No police harassment at all.
My mom, dad and husband came with me.
I felt like we started something yesterday. Just a feeling like we are going to break through.
Remember when the Aids patients closed down the Golden Gate Bridge with the Red Wave of them all? I believe that something like that will be in our future.
I was sad to see some in wheelchairs and infusing their meds while protesting. If that can't touch his heart, then he has no heart.
By the way, I was the one in the big peach hat with the big sunglasses. Doxy, you know! Didn't burn with the ton of sunscreen though.
Thanks to everyone that made it.
And to all that couldn't, we carried you all with us in spirit and with your voices being heard.

I was so proud to be there. There are so many people who are dedicating countless hours of their time, energy and money on behalf of all of us, that to just attend was an honor.

I am so happy I was able to go and experience the community of lymies and sharing stories. Proud, you have beautiful children and I am so glad we got to meet.
Everyone has a story to tell, whether we are healtly looking or too ill to stand and need a wheelchair. We are all fighting to get better.
Pat, you did such a wonderful job with your words and passion towards this disease. Ty for all you do for us. It is not easy (I don't know how you still have your hair, I would have pulled it out by now!)
I am newbie at this and have a lot to learn! Should I still keep on calling?

Yes Kirsten, keep on calling. You are new to Lymeland, huh? Heck of an introduction! Welcome!
Thank you Pat Smith, Tincup and everyone who went to the protest at Pallone's office and had to spend energy to go there, energy that it will take some time to regenerate.
Thank you everyone who's symptoms got a bit stressed that day.
Thank you to everyone who couldn't afford the gas, yet went anyway.
They got one of my son holding his green umbrella and towards the end one of my son and daughter together. to cool.
didnt realize they had one of me going to be on there. I look much more skinny on camera. YIKES!

How can Frank Pallone look out his front door and see all these beautiful people whose lives have been changed forever by a tick bite and not realize the impact of this bill?
Why is he so afraid to bring this bill to the hill?
Does Pallone have a heart?

Hi everyone,
No heart. Pallone is evil. He is scared. He's guilty as s___. He is so nervous that he's proceeding stupidly. Next, he'll pee his pants in public.
