Hi sarah! I've tried over and over to post this on your thread. So I gave up and decided to post it here!

Sorry to hear that Lyme is probably it. Believe me, if Mayo doesn't know what it is, then it's even more likely to be Lyme!

Mayo admits that "they don't do Lyme." But I'm not a dr, just little ol Lymetutu. Don't worry about my britches dropping from time to time. It's just my way of entertaining the nitwits around here!

OK.....now....back to work! Samento would be good, but you're right about starting it without supervision ... and you wouldn't want to skew the results of any tests.

So, I would just hang in there. That's only 3 wks. You can make it!

That lack of full breath could indicate babesia. [no, I'm not a dr!] So read up on that. Be sure to get tested for that.

Are you seeing an LLMD in WI??

Also, I thought maybe the tingling and numbness MIGHT be due to systemic yeast, which can occur after extended use of antibiotics and/or birth control meds. [along with a host of other possible causes]

So...read up on that too! You'll need this info for your upcoming treatment.

Glad you found Lymenet!

Thanks for the information. More reading to do now.

Yeah, NONE of my doctors over 10 years even thought to ask about my tick exposure or test me.

I'm seeing an LLMD in WI, yes. I contacted my local support group and she gave me his name and number. And he's really close too! I was expecting I would have to drive hours and hours.

I guess I'll just have to spend my next 3 weeks reading and studying (and not take time away from college homework). Hopefully keeping busy will make the time fly.

Oh, and with regards to the yeast, the clinic sent me a packet that I have to fill out before I go. There is a whole sheet dedicated to yeast, asking if I have those symptoms. So I'm thinking he will check that out. He's an internal medicine doctor who practices some alternative medicine and is relatively new to Lyme - but the lady from the support group said he has patients and shows a real dedication to learning more about the disease.

Thanks again! It's wonderful that this community is so friendly and welcoming.

Good, and just remember that once you're on abx, the yeast will always be there waiting in the wings. So keep after it and take your acidophilus regularly. You'll also have to watch what you eat. NO sugar!
