I dont understand how some say they are cured and test negative?

I thought once you have it - it will always show you have it.

What are we looking for numbers wise for better health?

Thanks!

????????

You can't rely on a Lyme test to tell you if you're well.

It's how you are feeling, doing, managing, living - over all.

That's how you tell if you are getting better. You'll feel better.

It can take a while and working with a skilled doctor, etc., etc.

I hear it happens.

My LLMD says you are never 'cured' and will not even use that word.

There is no test to prove LD has been eradicated. It could be, but they don't know. A negative test doesn't mean much, people with active LD can test negative.

What means more according the experts is when the CD57 is around 200 & you are symptom free for 4 months, you will likely have won the battle.

But since they believe Bb lives on to some degree the war may not be won, relapse can occur, but relapse is unlikely according to Burrascano if the CD57 is 200.

I understand when you are feeling better symptom wise that is what matters.

But there are some people saying their blood test shows negative, lyme free,
they are not talking about the cd57 test, I dont remember who I talk to about it to ask them.

Do they mean the lyme bands turn from positive to negative?

I dont understand.

If they tested negative either the Bb was not found in their blood or the test was inaccurate. If they had truly eliminated the Bb in their blood, it still would not mean that it hasn't sequestered in their tissues. It can still come back out at a later time. [shake]

Those people may be asymptomatic and believe that they have been "cured". The only way to really know if it has been eradicated is by coroner's examination.

Bb has been found in brains & biopsied tissues, post mortem, in people who had been "cured". [Frown]

I'm sorry to have had to say that. I depresses me to know that it may be a life-long battle. [Frown]

Are there ANY cases on record in which Bb wasn't

found in post-mortem examination of the body an apparently

cured Lymie?
