If your doc says use Doxy as your "background" antibiotic, does that mean take it
all the time while switching the others? I just found notes from my last visit and he had written
this down. Thanks, Sara

Hey Pure...
I've not heard that said before.. not that I should have .. but before adding anything to what you are taking.. please do call him to clarify the answer.
I don't want to see any harm come to you because the docs instructions weren't clear.

it makes sense to me - Dr. H. once told me that Doxy was the best one for me and they continued to try other ABX while keeping me on Doxy all the time.
For you, I interpret this to mean that your doc wants to keep Doxy working steadily while seeing which other ABX might help you even more.
I did even better when they added Tindamax to my Doxy.

Hope you are feeling better soon.. and please let us know what "background" means. Then we can help others if we see it later on.
