After drinking the olive oil for a liver flush, some ppl lie on their back with a pillow or 2, while some lie on the right side.

Anyone know what is the difference? Is there more chance of a stone getting lodged if you are on your right side?

I would imagine it's easier for stones/sludge to come out if you are on your back.

Thanks in advance!

The Hulda Clark website says to lie on your back .... that's what I do. I hate doing that cleanse, but get such great results, feel wonderful afterward.

Well, I am near remission with Lyme (Lyme seems to be in remission, just dealing with a few other issues, like toxins, parasites, and just healing after being sick so long). So, for me, cleaning out the liver took away all the remaining symptoms (except GI problems). That lasted three days, then came back. Two weeks after the first cleanse, I did a second, and that time the wellness lasted a week and a half. Did the cleanse again .... seemed to hold this time.

The third time I had significantly less sludge come out with the cleanse.

Here is a link for a recent thread.

The instructions are here. I am moving my timeline back 1 hour though, because I know I'll never fall asleep around 10:30pm. I'll plan to drink the oil and lemon juice around 11pm.

Anyone who wants to do this, don't forget to check if you can drink grapefruit juice with any current meds you are on.

My llmd says no grapefruit seed extract even, while on Diflucan. So I'll play it safe and chase the oil with lemon juice.

Drinking a 1/2 cup of olive oil scares the crap out of me. It seems like health suicide.

Please watch out...I did it once and now end up with a blocked bile duct.

I don't know why people would post such a thing that can cause problems for other.

I'm regret that i was so stupid to try such thing that got me into this mess.

There are risks as one writer posted about a blocked bile duct. That wasn't my experience and it is quite rare. I feel bad about your experience. Anything we do in treating lyme has risks including ABX which can deminish the livers function.

There have been a lot of folks who have done the cleanse with very good results.

As far as the science based medicine part, he's probably a quackwatch type. I read the article and I'm not impressed. Here's what they say about lyme. Still want to believe these bozos

The following is the dissections of actual gall bladders and you can see the stones intact within the organ.

After reading the lies in quackwatch, the mayo clinic and to see slanted and bogus research posted in emminent journals. I'm not so swayed by what someone writes in a blog.

As far as the liver cleanse, I feel it helped me a great deal. I've done 5 cleanseS and each cleanse showed less and less debris. I saw a lot of white chalky stuff come out and lots of green pebbles one as large as a large grape.

I have a suggestion, you could spend less then 10 dollars and give up weekend, try a cleanse and report back. It might just help you get better. Or, you could say it isn't going to work like the posted article save 10 dollars and wonder if the article was truthfull. Like in the x-files "the truth is out there".

The following are some links about gall stones:

I think you are making same mistake they do when talking about lyme. -having a bias but ignoring the facts.

There are multiple articles on the internet stating that those "gallstones" after oil flushes are indeed fat. -e.g. product of the flush and not something present in there. It also explains why you can have them keep coming out after multiple flushes. In this case I consider the "flush" debunked -at least gallstone wise .

Beneficial effects claimed could be from many different things (including placebo)

You can check the very same curezone for debate with good explanation

Coltman I don't believe I'm making a mistake. I have personally benefitted from the cleanse and it isn't placebo.

The results from the 5 cleanses I did reduced in number and volume the green particles that came out. Including the white chalk which I assume was calcium deposits. I pulled some of the green stones out and yes they are congealed olive oil. However some of the larger ones I dissected had white chalk in the center of the stones. Definite calcification!!! If you've got explanation for this calcification I'm all ears.

The other problem I have is the number and size over time reduce dramatically. If the first cleanse had 300 pea sized stones a couple the size of large grapes. The last cleanse had no more then three very small ones. What happened on the last cleanse to all that congealed olive oil. Might the bile ducts now cleared be effectively digesting the fats. One wonders!!!

I had very strong under the right side of my rib cage pressure. At times it was difficult to breath. After 5 cleanses I haven't had this problem for more then 4 months. My digestion has improved a great deal. So I suspect as a cleanse, it did its job more then placebo.

As far as the debunking, there are also those who tear down and those who defend the claims. You have to determine for yourself the risk benefit issue. I had bad pressure under my rib cage and took the risk. I'm reaping the reward.

Maybe you should do some research coltman: spend ten dollars and take a weekend and report back your experience. Otherwise, all information you have is speculative based on what side of the argument you choose to believe.

By the way : I've already read the link posted, I've done the cleanse and feel they helped a great deal beyond placebo IMO.
