Very interesting read!

http://www.mindbodygreen.com/0-12037/is-your-mood-suffering-because-your-brain-is-inflamed.html

My brain is so much better since I've been on the Body Ecology Diet for my poor gut!

I've also read that gut microbes can influence mood...i.e., probiotics may help depression...

MANY bacteria (et al) have genes for ACC..including you know who.

acetyl coenzyme A carboxylase (ACC), which is the
enzyme that catalyzes the first step in the synthesis of fatty acids in Lactobacillus...

Competition for an enzyme? Remember Tritec destroyed all forms of Bb IN THE GUT ONLY.

Berberine looks to *phosphorylate* ACC1 and ACC2...

Try and muddle thru my posts about ACC and the implications.

Researchers are trying to target drugs to the specific ACC's in harmful bacteria.

What the heck?!!! Find Bb listed here:

I have to say, since dealing with Lyme & Co (and candida), I cannot believe how much impact a good diet can have!

It's really pretty amazing. Not that a healthy diet will cure everything we deal with.....but it sure improves a LOT of symptoms.

Thanks for this thread!

Oh, I'm trying to get the gut in order!

Going 'Paleo' (no grains, no dairy, no legumes, and no boxed type food)

is helping...I still gravitate to legal Paleo sugar-y stuff, but it is calming down...

It's hard. Like the bacteria and fungi fight back. But I am doing 'better'.

Don't forget to cut out GLUTEN. [Smile]

The basis of Body Ecology is cultured vegetables and young coconut kefir. TONS of probiotics in those.
