I've also read that gut microbes can influence mood...i.e., probiotics may help depression... -------------------- -Razzle Lyme IgM IGeneX Pos. 18+++, 23-25+, 30++, 31+, 34++, 39 IND, 83-93 IND; IgG IGeneX Neg. 30+, 39 IND; Mayo/CDC Pos. I have to say, since dealing with Lyme & Co (and candida), I cannot believe how much impact a good diet can have! It's really pretty amazing. Not that a healthy diet will cure everything we deal with.....but it sure improves a LOT of symptoms. Thanks for this thread!

Oh, I'm trying to get the gut in order! Going 'Paleo' (no grains, no dairy, no legumes, and no boxed type food) is helping...I still gravitate to legal Paleo sugar-y stuff, but it is calming down... It's hard. Like the bacteria and fungi fight back. But I am doing 'better'. -------------------- Lyme positive PCR blood, and positive Bartonella henselae Igenex, 2011. low positive Fry biofilm test, 2012. Update 7/16- After extensive treatments, doing okay!

Don't forget to cut out GLUTEN. The basis of Body Ecology is cultured vegetables and young coconut kefir. TONS of probiotics in those. -------------------- --Lymetutu-- Opinions, not medical advice!
