Four oils were found to have action against candida biofilms in the following study (eucalyptus, peppermint, ginger grass, and clove): Prevention of Candida albicans biofilm by plant oils.http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17968673

Hooray for Peppermint!!! (has long been one of my most favorite oils) I assume we'd have to take the oil internally for it to work?

Thank you Sonatina for your research. Also, Lavendar oil is a potent antifungal and antibacterial agent. I found this out when I took it earlier this year for sleep (Lavela 1265).http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2011/03/11/lavender-oil-has-potent-antifungal-effect.aspx#! http://www.drugs.com/npp/lavender.html

YW, TNT! Thanks for your postings also. Razzle: I don't know. Wish there was more info. available. Peppermint leaf can be brewed as a tea, but I have no idea whether that would do anything. Tastes good though ;-).

Most essential oils are steam-distilled out of the plant, so I don't think tea would be strong enough (but peppermint tea does taste yummy)... Yeah, I wish there was more info too... Thanks for posting this research -- it is good to learn new and different ways to treat Candida.
