One problem is doc is retiring.

Don't know how long with Lyme but at least a couple of years. Started ceftin in May, mepron full dose in June. All the Dr. B supplements too. Feel pretty much back to normal.

Thinking about stopping abx soon to see how it goes and stopping Mepron end of Nov. (6 months) Not sure what the min. time or should I get new doctor?

Not sure if there's a min. time of treatment. thanks for any advice

Well, I'm sure you know that Dr. B says for 3 months past the point at which you recover. It's awesome that you're feeling well again.

Actually, he says 8 weeks past, but I agree that I'm more comfortable with 3 months myself.

If you stop before it's gone, the infection will spread again. It can't really be called a relapse, since it was never gone to begin with.

I'm glad it's working well and you're feeling well. You *might* try something like the Buhner protocol and see if you can maintain, but if you can't, get back on abx!

I would encourage you to stay on abx two months past ALL symptoms being resolved, not just to the point of feeling pretty good.

I quit early twice and getting back to where I was became harder and harder. Better be safe than sorry.

Don't ignore the little indications that you are still infected. Make sure you are 100%.

Then use herbs when you go off. For lyme teasal root, andrographis and TOA free cat's claw. Grapefruit seed extract for cysts.

Nothing will keep bart at bay but abx, but you can try Cumanda, clove bud oil and HH capsules.

Artemesinin for babs.

I used massive amounts of herbs when I quit abx and relapsed.

I would go 2 months past any symptoms too. You sure don't want to start all over again.

I'm so glad you're doing well!! [Smile]

Thanks for all the good advice and good wishes. I
guess I might research another doctor just in case although there are so many herbs and supplements to do on one's own.

My doc ran a CD57 test on me. It was 114, but she wanted it over 120. She said that indicated I still am fighting Lyme. I still have dips, and get fatigued, although I am working fulltime.

Perhaps, your doc can check and see where you are.
