Ok...I know no drinking alcohol while on flagyl because of the anabuse effects (I don't drink anyway, haven't really drank is over 4 years). But what about things that touch your skin? Like rubbing alcohol or alcohol that is in our deodarant? Maybe this is a stupid question but I am curios to know if it only causes the anabuse effects if something in ingested. -------------------- *Brittany Lyme Aware on FB* http://littlebithaslyme.wordpress.com/

It's not a stupid question at all. Some people are very very sensitive and any amount of alcohol on or in the body may affect you. I know some have reported bad effects with mouthwash..... So in my opinion it's a "maybe" depending on how sensitive you are.
