I take body biotics. The last time I bought em was from a place in Colorado, can't remember the name, good prices though.
They are in my opinion, a very good example of a high quality mid priced probiotic.
They aren't maybe quite as amazing as the Natren Healthy Trinity's I used to use. But they do the job very well.

Natren Healthy Trinity is great. I've used them in the past, purchased online, very expensive though.
Currently take VSL#3 2capsules daily, S.boulardii 2 caps daily, and Healthy Origins Florafit 2 caps (60billionCFU's) daily. All purchased online.

About 3 months ago I started switching things up a bit. It seems to have helped. I now buy a few different products (some low and some higher priced), and take different combos each day (to get the full compliment of the various different strains possible). It seems to be working well.
I currently have: Udo's Choice Super 8 hi-potency (30 billion) Theralac (30 billion) Healthy Origins (30 billion) PB8 (14 billion, 2 caps)
Generally I've been trying to take about 100 to 120 billion units per day.
Take care, Tammy

I have been taking body biotics for ages she is talking about sacred mountain http://www.upwardquest.com/ No I have no vested interest in the company just one of the least expensive places to order it. They have done actual studies of how it attacks and kills candida and yeast. It can be found on the net. I love the stuff, never catch a cold and use to have a severe yeast problem that cleared up with it. I take one a day to keep the cost down. It works faster if you take a higher dose but I took the slow and steady dose over a period of time. After a year on it I did a stool speciman with Great Smokies Lab which is very respected. My doc said he had never seen a lyme/cfs patient with such a yeast free sample test result in his office. Actually it is a Soil Based Organism, SBO, but has the ability when builds up in your gut can just eat away and cave in walls of candida/yeast in the walls of your intestine. As far as I'm concerned there is nothing on the market like it.

My LLMD recommended Culturelle and Sacchromyeces Boulardi at the start of my abx treatment nine months ago. I have not deviated from these and I like yogurt for lunch.

I take PB8 because it has a good mix of strains and it has a high number. You can get it at vitacost.com, but I just go to my local health store.

I rotate through products. This month, UltraFlora and Theralac.
I get both from my LLMD
But I will say my body really seems to like PB8 that I can get at natural food store easily.
Also, I am not a "yeasty" person, but whenever I start having yeast issues, I need something stronger than my probiotics to take care of it- Diflucan does this well.

7 billion isn't much
Remember that when ordering online that they do NOT ship with it being refrigerated. For some brands, like Theralac, it doesn't matter.

I take Florastor, Klaire Labs Ther-Biotic Complete and Bio-K+. Florastor is a good probiotic, but it does not contain enough varieties to work for me on its own. Ther-Biotic Complete has a range of beneficial bacteria and not only helps with maintaining a healthy mouth, but also has helped with my digestive system. Bio-K+ made an amazing difference in oral health for me. I keep it in my mouth for 30 seconds before swallowing; it got rid of the brown fuzzy tongue issue when nothing else could. I do not take any of these priobiotics in close proximity to the antibiotics. I also take a prebiotic (inulin) to create an environment conducive to good bacteria.

Body Biotics is excellent! While on abx, take 2 to 6 per day. High end only if diarrhea or yeast, then back to lower dosing a couple days later when you're "all better."
Used to waste $$ on other probiotics. Just need this & Florastor, some coconut kefir and a good Candida-control diet...

Yes, unless they are designed to maintain their potency, like Theralac. I'm sure there are others...but if they're cheap.. forget it.
I'm now back on Ultimate Flora because it is dairy free. Just found out I'm allergic or sensitive to dairy.

I buy the 50 billion and the 80 billion capsules. They are enteric coated. so they are not ruined by your stomach acid. they release the probiotics exactly when they should so you get the ultimate dose
I take about 250-300 billion cfu's a day, Im currently on doxy, rifampin and pulse flagyl two days a week. I like to take plenty of probiotics because Ive been told on these forums its VERY IMPORTANT!

I use prescription VSL#3 Double-Strength. It comes in a packet. It has eight strains of live bacteria and 900 billion bacteria per refrigerated packet.
I have taken it for some time and have not had any yeast issues. Because is is prescription, I just pay a co-pay for a two-month supply.
