How do you use oil of oregano? The man at the health food store said you put a drop or two in your mouth.
He didn't know the first thing about lyme--I want to use it because of yeast, maybe allergy related, maybe bronchial related, stuffy nose, dry cough..that sort of thing.

Oil of Oregano is a 'hot' oil. Translated: Spicy Hot beyond belief! I love super hot spicy foods and was really not prepared for how hot this stuff is.
If you are going to ingest it, be sure that the oil you buy is safe to be ingested.
The quickest way to have it hit yeast in your bloodstream is to put a drop underneath your tongue. One drop - not so bad at first, but the aftershock is quite surprising.
Alternatively, you can buy empty Size 0 capsules and put it in the capsule. I'd start with one drop a day, and slowly work your way up to 3 drops twice a day.

- It is best to buy Oregano oil in gelcaps. If you try to put oil into capsules, yourself, they can melt, or some of the oil will be on the outside of the capsule and can burn on the way down.
Drops are best as a combined formula as it MUST be mixed with a carrier oil, never alone . Then, one drop or so in a cup of water for a gargle. If it is very diluted, you can swallow some to help with the esophagus where candida is concerned. With a liquid formula, you may be able to go up to several drops but ALWAYS in a glass of water, never straight into your mouth. Even then, it can burn.
But, I like the cool herb, Olive Leaf Extract best. I can't tolerate anything that is even the least bit hot and oregano and garlic are two of the hottest on the planet. -

I have never ingested it, and I don't think I would want to.
However, it is GREAT STUFF as an inhalant for colds, bronchitis, sinus infections, etc. You put a few drops into a bowl of steaming hot water, then lean your head over the steam, maybe make a tent with a towel and breathe in the steam.
This can knock out a sinus problem! It also works to use regular grocery store oregano, a couple of handfuls into the hot water.
