I need recommendations...every one I have tried has a terrible battery, and/or is totally inaccurate, or just plain doesn't work. What's UP with these things? I even bought a mercury-free shake down one, which didn't register any temperature at all....I know I run low but I'm not dead!
Recommendations/brand appreciated. I have to take my temp 3x day for a month so it has to be durable.

I've been using a Vicks "Speed-Read" Model # V911R Should be available at local Walgreen's-CVS- Rite-Aid, etc.. Battery lasts a long time, even taking my temp at least 2/day (maybe even 3-4 times daily ,because I sometimes just don't believe the reading I just got)....
Sometimes, morning reading will seem abnormally low,(it goes with the territory)-- other times I may record a slight fever. It may be best to keep a daily log of AM/PM temps to view variations.
My Dr. is using one that takes an almost instantaneous temp from the forehead that she swears by....better than swearing at......
You may be able to check accuracy reviews at either Consumer Reports,or check user reviews at a site like Amazon...
