i read about this sx when doing a search-someones husband had it i think
i am now getting it in my lower leg and foot
i recently had a bad fall off a horse and there is a possible cracked vertebrae
i'm wondering if it could be from that (the vertebrae is lower thoracic...right in the middle of back-i have zero pain at that spot)
or if the vibrating means my neuro lyme is getting worse
i have had hot spots and electric like feeling and sharp stabbing pain for years so i know i am neuro...but this vibrating and also a sence of pain in patches about 3-4 " in diameter in lower legs is new
anyone else have this?
is it how ms starts?
parkinsons?
thanks.

I had that vibrating in my leg when I was on Tindamax for a month.
I thought it was the Tindamax stirring up symptoms.
I got off from the Tindamax for other reasons and I haven't had it since.
Since you just had a fall, this might be worth a trip to a doctor to see what they think. It might be unrelated to Lyme.

Look into Electrosensitivity (Microwave Sickness). Your brain may be acting as a 'receiver' for area cell phone towers, which are always going off.

Electrical sensations and sensitivites are another feature of neuro-Lyme. Treat the Lyme adequately and the electrical sensitivities and sensations will eventually go away, along with all of your other Lyme symptoms.
Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker has explained the science about how patients become sensitive to static electrical shocks in one of his books, but I've loaned it out so I can't look it up to review it. It has something to do with a tendency to "dehydration" and electrolyte imbalances in Lyme patients. I'm pretty sure that I read about it in his newest book, "Mold Warriors." This kind of electrical sensitivity is completely reversible, of course, with proper treatment for Lyme though.

thank you. it has gotten so bad i can't walk even with a cane. the other leg is getting involved. i reread the bone scan report and the radiologist is strongly suggesting follow up on possible fractured vertebrae(L1) and fracured sacrum. he also says the knee implant might be loose.
i get so i can't walk after twisting or lifing the foot more than an inch. it has takwn awhile for me to figure it out. alos it is very bad aftr sitting or lying.
sometimes i can walk out of the pain and weakness but not today. i had to take 600 ibu. 300 neurontin and then a tramadol to be able to move around inside the house.
i did call the new knee doc and ask what to do: see him? re loosness and/or see back doc for fractures
i have been doing so much heavy lifting...air conditioners, monitors...handing totes over my head to a friend putting them in the attic...i can't imagine i can have anything broken...but it did show up and this new leg pain is severe
i also have an order for PT so i am trying to get an appt for that
i'm aware of the electro sensitiviny but haven't tested the house or anything...i try to me careful about microwave and cell phone...is tv bad? my house is so small my feet almost touch the tv when i am sitting...i don't see any towers or big electrical stuff around...but i know you never know. i don't have woreless in the house...do you think its best not to get it? it would help me in othere ways to have it
thanks for your help
i have ritchies books too..but you know...this just came on so fast and is so severe...but i am checking it out. once i can't walk i stop tuffing it out and try to get answers

sounds like you need to follow up with the possible fractured vertebra.
I do have vibrations and buzzing that comes and goes. I haven't had it for a long time, but it has recently come back in my lower legs and feet....
I've had it elsewhere in my body...the trunk and arms. Next time I see my doctor I will say "I really don't think I should be buzzing and vibrating!"
Please know that I am also battling chronic viral infections...

These were early symptoms for me five years ago: a vibrating sensation that went on and off in the arch of each foot --like a cell phone. It lasted for weeks. It went away after I started treatment and never returned (although, I have a whole lot worse going on now, sorry to say). My father had Parkinson's by the way; what you have is not PD. Not to worry. It's classic Lyme.

Here is a link to an article about chronic EBV infection:
Patients with "high" antibody titers against HHV-6 IgG ≥ 640, EBV VCA IgG ≥ 640 and detectable EA Ab at 1:160 or HHV-6 IgG ≥ 320 if EBV VCA IgG ≥ 1280 and has detectable EA Ab at 1:160 (measured by the average of a minimum of two time points obtained during screening at least 3 weeks apart).
Get copies of your EBV test results and compare them to the above info. If your results are not in this format, consider getting retested at Focus Diagnostics lab. Also consider getting tested for HHV-6 while you're at it. See: www.hhv-6foundation.org.
Valcyte helped me with EBV. I'm on acyclovir at the moment along with oxymatrine for the Coxsackie B.
Best, Timaca

Timaca is right. And it also can be cpn and parasites. cpnhelp.org.
I treated for cpn, parasites and EBV and it is better.I got already a bit better before I added the antiviral. Doxy was helpful, LDN as well. In any case when you start treatment you probably will first get a lot more vibrations. Start low dose.

My husband had the vibrating/cell phone thing so maybe it was one of my posts you read. That symptom has disappeared for him.
And I've had "hot spots and electric like feeling and sharp stabbing pain" and they are all gone.
From our experience, I agree w/ TX Lyme Mom, "This kind of electrical sensitivity is completely reversible, of course, with proper treatment for Lyme though."

I used to have it in my butt behind the pocket where I store my cell phone. I would feel it vibrating and my phone wouldn't even be in my pocket.
I try not to put the phone in my pocket and lo and behold, I don't get the vibration anymore.
