My daughter's latest symptoms after being on Babs treatment for one week are these weird hot flashes.

She has never had these before...could this be a sign? Maybe a herx? Hmm....is this even a symptom of Babesia?

Thanks for any input...

I have them... and my other post is now I'm turning red from them too.. so others can now SEE when I have the hot flash/flush.

It's been typical with me with my bab's. I have been on the new malarone for a month now and they have gotten worse like this.

I got the hot flashes only after taking Mepron. I was on Mepron for two months until my doctor concluded that I did not in fact have Babesia. So, I am thinking that is a reaction to the medicine. I'll let you know if they stop now that I will no longer be on Mepron. I am now being treated for Bartonella and Lyme.

I think it is a sign of babs.

I had quite a few of them when I started babs treatment. I even woke up in the night in a sweat, which I think is also babs.

Although I am 46 and of the age for possible menopause, I had a complete hysterectomy, so no ovaries, and should not be having menopause symptoms. I've been on the same HRT for 5 years with no problems, until I started babs treatment.

Babs is going to be at least 8 months of mepron and zith. Symptoms will get worse before they get better.
