Hello everyone. I am a long time lurker, but I don't post too often. I started tx for Lyme back in Feb (although I have been treated twice before in the last 14 years--just probably not the right treatment). So, for the last 9 months I have seen an LLMD and I actually have done pretty good. All along, if I had any herxs, it was nothing I was expecting and pretty mild.
Last week is when it all changed. It literally was like I was fine one day, bad the next. I started having the internal tremors (which is about enough to send me over the edge), some weakness in my left leg, a bit of the off balance feeling, and GI problems. I don't feel as bad as back in Feb., but just do not feel good.
So, my question is, is it possible to have a bigger herx now, 9 months later? And, would it last over a week? I feel like my symptoms are a bit better now, but definitely not gone. I see my LLMD tomorrow, so I guess I will hopefully get some answers then as far as where treatment is going. But, I would love to hear some thoughts from others who may have some experience.
Thanks so much:-)

Yes. This is possible. I went through an IV with the same kind of small, just feel crappy herxes, and some other annoyances ( well it was far worse than an annoyance, but you get the point). Stopped IV, changed Drs, a month later was taking a combo RX with many supps and herbs. 4 weeks into that regimen I herxed my brains out. and even worse 4 weeks after that. My 1st herx lasted like 3 weeks. Then I felt awesome, then herxed again. The timing is what clued me in. Im not out of the woods by any means, and I don't know when I will be. But the herxes did become less horrible over the course of 12 weeks. Don't suppose you are looking at the timing of these herxes? This info can help your LLMD, and clue you in to what the treatment is doing. Did you recently change regimens? Or add an RX to the existing one? Hope you feel better soon.
