I think caffeine gives me super mental fog.
Sometimes I forget how it affects me, and think "aw it's fine... " and then I am stuck for hours feeling like I just drank a bottle of wine! I can barely drive.
Is there any quick detox from caffeine? Water? Charcoal? Need a backup plan.
Thanks for any info!

I know I should just stay away, but I am in total denial about caffeine. It is my final vice, and I am having a hard time letting go.

I get it. I got off it for many months and saw no change whatsoever. Most of the time the caffeine doesn't bother me, but some days .... like Sunday, sitting around drinking coffee ....
Like you, it's my only vice. And I'm not convinced it's all bad in moderation.

However, I do get this weird "high" from it which is not so good. OK if I am working around the house, but a nightmare when trying to function in the world.
I am hoping that as my system gets stronger overall, I'll be able to handle it.

I actually gave up on coffee completely because of it's powerful effect on this fog issue. I cannot even drink decaf, with its tiny amount of caffeine. It sends me to the moon.
So, I usually have caffeine in the form of green tea or matcha powder.

Maybe change vices? I unfortunately had to give up ALL caffeine, even green tea with caff, because of my severe sleep problems. Now that I have the sleep under control I don't want to mess it up, so I avoid coffee except maybe 1 cup of decaff every few weeks as a treat; I drink decaff green tea otherwise.
So I picked dark chocolate as my vice instead. Yeah, it probably has a little caffeine in it, a little sugar, so sue me. :-)

Sillia, sorry I missed your post! I looooooove chocolate as a vice. It has a bit of caffeine, so I get that little smile, but it doesn't push me over the top.
So glad to hear your sleep problem is better!
