I'm trying to learn as much about Lyme as possible. Much of this is very confusing to me, and my PCP and Rheumatologist are not exactly helpful when it comes to explaining things.

I've read a lot about bands on the lyme tests from the lab. The lab I had through Labcorp in 09 shows no "bands" or anything similar to what people discuss on here.
I was going to post a patial image of the test report on here but didn't find any way to add an attachement.
The test shows..

Lyme Ab/western Blot Reflex
Lyme IgG/IgM Ab <0.91 index 0.00-0.90
negative <0.91
Equivocal 0.91-1.09
positive >1.09

Lyme Disease Ab, Quant, IgM <0.91 index 0.00-0.9
negative <0.91
Equivocal 0.91-1.09
positive >1.09

All of this is then surounded by CDC advisories.
My docs have tried to reassure me that what all this means is that there is no possible way I have Lyme.
I'm not sure what to believe anymore. I guess my question is.. Is the above of any use at all?

I'm pretty sure that is the ELISA which is notoriously WRONG. Your readings are pretty low, but the test itself is really not to be trusted.

What you need is a Western Blot through Igenex Lab. You may have to order the kit yourself (free) and then find another dr who is willing to run the test. Better yet, find an LLMD who will fully evaluate you for Lyme and COINFECTIONS.

www.igenex.com Test #188 and 189

When you send in the blood EARLY IN THE WEEK, you send in the money for the test. It should cost around $200.

Yes, that's my next step.
I was just curious about the results. It lists IgG/IgM western blot

I think I can get my PCP to sign off on the Igenex labs. I'm wondering if I should only get the basics though. I mean why not go ahead and get 6050 and 5090 and even 275 for that matter. It should cover almost everything Lyme related. Expensive yes, but I've been throwing money at this for a decade now, a little more isn't going to hurt.
