I've been treating Lyme since February with Minocycline and Azithromycin. Added Bactrim DS in April, and Rifampin in May.

I'm stopping Bactrim tomorrow, and Rifampin will be dropped over the next 4 weeks.

My next doctor visit is in late Dec.

I still have major issues with:

Chest wall inflammation (trouble breathing), Sinus inflammation
Morning fatigue and insomnia
Off-balance feeling
Nerve flinching (light twitching)
Focus
Heart palpitations
Nerve pain
Light night sweats (temperature always rises during the evening, low in the morning).

I would say Babesia (Mepron), but I've also had stomach issues. GI tract feels uncomfortable, soft and undigested food in stools, anxiety in nerves before using the bathroom, pain in stomach at random moments, food feels uncomfortable is stomach at times...

I'm on 3 probiotics, but it seems beyond that.

Talking to my LLMD, I'm starting Nystatin tomorrow, but think I'll need something like Diflucan or Ketaconazole to really hit the fungal/yeast part.

Should I dedicate my next part of treatment to Yeast/Fungal, or Combo it with a Babesia treatment?

Maybe a week or two to hit the yeast, then back to babesia??

May take longer than a week if you've had this awhile.

What brands of probiotics?? and yes.. get some Diflucan!!

Seems reasonable. I don't think two weeks off antibiotics would impact me hugely in a negative way. Of course, once I go off Rifampin, I'll know if I still have Bartonella issues.

Please test for heliobacter pylori. Can do the same symptoms as babesia.
Rifampin works for cpn. Are you sure you have bartonella?

Well, I had the common symptom of heel pain and fatigue that comes with Bartonella. I've been on Rifampin since May, and have done really well with it.

I'll check out Heliobacter Pylori, Karen. Thanks..

Curious, is it alright to be on Minocycline and Azithromycin while doing antifungal therapy with a combination of Diflucan, Nystatin and Ketaconazole?
