I feel like the pain I experience is in my ligaments, tendons, collagen, joints, nerves, and muscles. If I look at these pictures it makes it more clear where the pain is occuring. Mostly the "white parts".
What do you think is happening in these areas that is causing the pain? Is it bacteria actively burrowing into the tissues and causing immune response trying to destroy it? Will it just progressively "eat" all the tissue until it practically disintegrates?
I have been taking abx for 5 straight months now. Doxy, then Ceftin and Plaquenil and Flagyl pulses (currently) and lots of supplements and herbs. I can't say that I've seen any improvement. The fibro'ish type pains and headache haven't subsided. I have an appointment with my first LLMD 11/24 and am going to have to come up with some good questions to ask her. I have positive 41 and 23 IgM bands. I suspect I may have one or both bart and babs in addition to Bb. Seems like a constant headache could indicate one of the co-infections.

She added Rifampin to my collection (Rifampin, Cefin, Plaquenil, Flagyl). I asked her specifically about what she thinks is causing the pain in my joints/tendons/ligaments etc. Is it bacteria in those locations causing direct pain, autoimmune, etc. She told me she thinks it's "inflammation" in my body overall causing the pains. I've been on the rifampin for about 3 weeks now and I can't really tell much difference.
I'm still not content with my understanding of what it physically happening in my hands and anywhere else that I feel these pains. Is it tissue destruction? Inflamation that can reverse? I just don't know.

I think it is inflmmation too, the problem is that ligaments eem to have a very hard time to repair... I've been googling prolotherapy and ligaments and it provides a quite good explanation of what is happening once the ligaments have been injured... I'm also considering that therapy because no amount of abx worked on that pain for me. I think we have to concentrate on repair more killing...
