So I saw my LLMD this week. Of coursse, my Babs test is still negative, but I'm still having the air hunger/weird feelings in chest issue.

In fact, the only sx I'm having right now are air hunger/weird chest feelings and the eye symptoms.

LLMD asked if I have night sweats (only once or twice in the past few months), fever (nope) or chills (I told him I'm ALWAYS cold).

He thinkks it may be babs, but he's not certain.

I am allergic to the abx for babs, so he suggested artemsinin, which I started a few days ago.

Feels like the air hunger is getting worse the past few days, and I had an incident at church just a few minutes ago where I got light-headed and thought for sure I was going to faint, then felt the urge to get out of there fast.

I'm planning to see a naturalist that LLMD and several others have urged me to see to see if she can give me some more direction.

She does muscle testing and does some kind of testing on the hair, so she might be able to point out other deficiencies that I may have.

I had been feeling so much better, now all of a sudden the past couple weeks I am feeling so much worse again. SO frustrated.

Wow, really feeling crappy all of a sudden. Felt faint again, and now my left side feels funny.

This is just like when everything started for me. What's going on? I feel like I'm dying.

Hi Star--

Sounds like you are herxing from the ART-

Babs herxes can be very strong with
lots of changing things happening quickly-

IE -feel cold then hot --buzzy and dizzy-
wacky heart beat-shakes- ect.

lots of different things happening-quickly-

How much ART are you taking ??-Jay-

Artemisinin requires good function of the Cytochrome P-450 liver detox pathway. For many with lyme, that is stressed.

You may need better liver support. And, even with that, Artemisinin can be a rough ride. No treatment is easy.

For some things to consider for more specific support of the C P-450 pathway:

groovy2--My LLMD suggested 25mg twice a day, but I already had 100mg capsules, so I'm doing that once a day.

Keebler--I do need to start better liver support. I'm just hoping this is a herx or something like that.

The sx just keep coming on strong and then going away.

I keep telling myself if it were a herat attack it wouldn't wax and wane like this, that I would get bad and collapse.

I hope I'm right on that one.

Hey, if you even think you might be having a heart attack, call 911. Seriously. Heart attack warning signs can come and go. You need to talk to a doctor if you are having heart attack symptoms.

Search what they are so that you know. Not everything is lyme. But, there is absolutely no gentle treatment for lyme so we have to become very well educated and able to distinguish the regular rocky road of treatment from a real emergency.

I've been through these sx before, and I made sure to look up the sx of a heart attack. I did see a cardiologist about it, and he said things are fine with my heart.

I'll keep an eye on things, though.

I have bad air hunger and chest pains but have had heart tested and not heart issues. My Babs test is negative except one, which was equivocal. I'm hoping to start some treatment this week as well just to see if it helps because so far not getting better with that sx on lyme and bart treatment.

--------------------
Lyme, Bart, possible Babs
Currently on IV Doxy, Bactrim, Zithromax, Nystatin, Mepron
Been on nearly every antibiotic since 10/09

About 60% improvement. Dizziness, air hunger remain.

Still having the air hunger/chest tightness issues, feeling kind of anxious too.

I'm also having pressure in my head, around my left ear, and my ear feels like it does when you go up a mountain.

This is just weird.

And I keep reading in other posts that some LLMDs tell their pts to take art when they're FLARING???

Geez, if the art is MAKING me feel this way, I don't think I want to take it WHEN I feel bad.

My doc just had me increase the amount of Art that I'm taking (2 capsules 2x per day, was on 1 capsule 2x per day for a while) and I feel awful. Lots of anxiety and shakes, etc. off and on. It sucks.

I have to say. These are dead ringer symptoms for anxiety. Plus you have a negative babs test.

Just saying. occam's razor.
