Ok are these two safe to take on the same day?

I was on zithro and mepron but i was increasingly getting worse in my head and stomach. When i took full dose for a month my spasms cleared up, when i backed off and lowerd both they came back. I had no choice though i was literally feeling autisitic.
i dont know if it was a concidence about my spasms.

I told my doc that i couldnt handle azitro because of my stomach so she gave me biaxon instead, which cleared up my head ( i knew it would have been on it before). but on 2nd day and my spasms the same.

Im wondering will the biaxon end up doing the same job as the zitro if i stick to these two.? I am in so much pain im considering trying the zitro again, even with the biaxon still in my system - is this safe?

I can't answer your question, but it would be helpful to know how much Azithromycin and Septra you are/were taking.

I couldn't handle 600mg Azithromycin. It was too much for the stomach. I handle 300mg very well, with food.

Were you taking it with food? I could never tolerate it without food, but I take with my Azithromycin with food just fine; Minocycline and Rifampin without food.

Was also on Bactrim DS and I could take that with or without food. I was on all of these at one point.

Rifampin is for Bartonella. It resolved most of my fatigue and heel pain.

I use Minocycline and Azithromycin in cycle with one another. When I started it was 1 every other day from each other, but now I take Minocycline every other day and Azithromycin every day.

It's a fairly common protocol from what I've experienced, and my LLMD says it's to keep Lyme down while we work on the co-infections that usually cause the bigger problems. This is also the protocol for the Wheldon protocol in CPN treatment (complete by adding Flagyl).

I was coughing up all sorts of bright yellow mucus when I started that ABX combination, but havent noticed much since around April. I feel at this point, it's to keep my load down until we can tackle it.

Although, I have to wonder where I am with Lyme because I took Flagyl like skittles with no reaction. I did herx with Bactrim and Rifampin. Rifampin is notorious for a good herx.

I'm rambling tonight!

[EDIT: That's not entirely accurate about my Flagyl experience. I had the DEATH fatigue from it, but I had absolutely no exaggeration of symptoms or improvement. It just sucked the life out of me, but I'm on a lot already so that could have been the reason. I did it for two weeks 500mg 2x daily before I decided this sucked to much.]

Any one else have really tight feeling in stomach with azitro?

Is it that its stronger or better than the biaxon?

IF they are so similar, why does my brain clear up on the biaxon yet i did see after taking the azitro 2 times a day for a few weeks with the mepron the spasms along side my whole body went down...

Im afraid if i know switch to the biaxon i wont get that result.

i have takeing the biaxon in the past with no result on my pain.

but the azitro twist my intenstines it feels.

i assume you mean biaxin when you say biaxon? its not some differnet abx is it? at any rate from my understating zithro and biaxin are almost the same chemical compound, with zithro just being the next generational version of the drug.

i had sever stomach pain when i took 500mg 1x day of zithro if i didnt have food with it. it usually went away after an hour or so. ive been on biaxin 500mg day with my amoxi for the last frew weeks and i have had no ill effect from the drug.

it is easy to tolerate for me. btw it is also the best tasting abx ive had yet. mmmmmmm

Any pharmacy worker will tell you not to take biaxin and azithromicin together.

Ore one makrolid (biaxin,azithromycin)with fluoroquinolone(levaquin,ciprofloxacin).

You have to be of caroled drug 10 days before you can start fluoroqoinolone drug or vice verse because of interaction of this two meds that can lead to deadly arrhythmia of the heart.

On the other side some LLMD put some of us in 2 ore more of them from both groups of meds.
