I wanted to get your expertise on Infrared Saunas for Lymes treatment. I have done a ton of research on these, but have not heard too many stories from people.
I just ordered a west coast sauna in Hemlock which is supposedly kiln dried and will not outgas. Anyways... I hope to hear from you all.
Thanks in advance Fuel

The infrared is the way to go - congrats on the new sauna! Enjoy!
Use the search feature on this forum -- search for infrared sauna... I brought up 320 threads that might answer some of your questions. If you still have any questions... since you ordered one, I bet you just can't wait for it to get there!
I don't own one yet -- I have been researching and plan to purchase a personal sauna... only because that is what I can justify in our current budget!

My LLMD talked about, but we never did it, using the sauna daily and taking Tindamax to bust the cysts. He was of the opinion that it would kill some bugs and drive others to cyst form. He thought the Tindamax and sauna would pair up nicely.
Mostly they're used for detoxification though.

Faith - Used, huh? Who would give up a sauna?
Is it a wooden one or a personal sauna?

I LOVE my infrared sauna. I bought it before I was diagnosed, because I had used one several times and always felt better after a sauna session.
It increased my herxing during my first year of treatment. But still made me feel better.
I tolerate heat very well. Some do not, so proceed with caution at first.
I found mine on Craigslist. It's a high quality, two person wooden sauna. The seller had bought it for weight loss, but given up after just a few sessions.
Some of the best money I've ever spent on my health. Now if I had a Rife machine, I'd be set!

Go slow unless you are very "clean"
I worked my way up to 40 to 45 minutes at about 140 degrees. It's very helpful to me. If I need to go somewhere and feel good (ie wedding, etc) I will take a sauna four days in a row and i can almost guarantee a "good" day.
Each sauna makes a difference for me. I have a very cheap one (tent type where my head sticks out) and it's the best thing I've ever bought.
