Had a WB done on daughter 2 weeks ago. Pediatrician was extremely hesitant to even do it. Now they need to send results to doc but they need an ICD-9 code first, a diagnosis.

I told the doc to just put down a couple of symptoms that would be found as a symptom of lyme but she wont do it. She is worried about losing her license she tells me. The problem is she sent the order in with NO ICD-9 code to begin with.

Is there a proper code to use? We wouldnt put down Lyme diagnosis since that is what we are trying to figure out...

Maybe you can Google the ICD 9 codes for her worst 2 symptoms.

If she won't even do that, then she certainly won't do ANYTHING for your daughter! Run in the other direction and find someone who can and will diagnose and treat Lyme properly!!

But do your research carefully about who to see; it's a big decision.
