So my tests came back negative for Bart however I have convinced my LLMD to give me Rifampin along with the Zith and Flagyl

My question is this ...do you think it IS bart?

The bottom of my feet are KILLING me..can this happen with JUST lyme or is this pretty much a dead giveaway?

My anxiety symptoms are HUGE- Im sure Lyme can cause this too but was just wondering

I have burning sensations of my skin

Lots of head stuff like ringing in my ears, head pressure, dizziness.

I am also feeling like my chest is REALLy tight lately.

What do you think?

I havent started the Rifampin because quite frankly I am scared to

Hi Jackie,
My Bart tests came back negative as well, 2 of them. I also had burning skin, ringing in my ears, alot of muscle pain and very painful soles.

I convinced my LLMD to treat Bart and on day 2 of taking Cipro I knew it was working! (I'm taking Cipro because my insurance won't cover Levaquin and my LLMD doesn't like Rifampin) A week after starting Cipro the soles of my feet hurt so badly that I could barely walk, but I was happy because I knew the Bart was getting dealt with. It's been 6 weeks now and I'm 98% symptom free.

Before treating Bart I had treated Lyme for 6 months and made some progress but was stalling, I was definitely getting discouraged. After adding Cipro my situation has greatly improved and now I feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

From your symptom list, you should definitely start treatment for Bart! The painful soles are a strong indicator of Bart. Don't be afraid of the Rifampin just be aware of the potential side-effects that could happen and make sure to monitor your liver with blood tests every 6-8 weeks. Keep the faith and good luck to you.

This subject is coming up an awful lot these days. I tested neg for all coinfections, but I am pretty sure I have Bart. I had some pretty bad foot issues in the past, but none now. But itching, depression, rages, ear ringing and clogging, occasional shin pain and occasional breakouts of small red dots has me convinced. It looks like a lot of people are coming up negative that do have it. - At least there is this site! I will see LLMD in a week, he WILL be treating me for Bart.

One thing I noticed is that as I was treating Lyme, especially this last regimen, the Bart symptoms have become extremely pronounced. Is this common?

Yeah I think it is, as when you treat an infection, another one gets more pronounced, it's like it has now all room to progress:-) Does anyone get fasciculations with Bart too?

Jackie,
Are you taking magnesium?

Low magnesium can cause depression, anxiety, panic attacks, migraines, muscle twitching and cramping.

Jackie...I do think you have it. Take the Rifampin and hold onto your hat. My first 3 weeks were a bit rough, but if you feel worse on it then you know it's killing something.
