As I'm struggling through another day with this air hunger/shortness of breath, I realized that (at least this time around) I feel like the issue is only on the left side.
When I have air hunger, it feels like only the lung and even the esophagus on the left side are affected, like the right side is fine with getting air, but there's somethng interfering on the left.
I swear sometimes it almost feels like I have asthma, but again, only on the left side.
Doctors never hear anything--wheezing or whatever--on the left side, even when I'm having sx, so it just frustrates me.
I guess what I'm asking is, is it common to feel like you're only having air hunger issues on one side?

I always only had it on the left side, thought my heart had a blockage or something. Feels like something standing on my heart compressing everything, too. Yep, very common it seems.
Almost totally gone with rife and abx, only flares every once in awhile.

Thanks Toppers. I had my heart checked too, supposedly normal. I just feel like I'm going to drop dead from some lung or heart issue.
And I refuse to go to the ER again unless I actually lose conscousness or something--I'm tagged there as a depression/anxiety-prone stay-at-home mom who simply needs--and keeps rejecting--antidepressants.
Doesn't matter that it was a reaction to an antidepressant that landed me there the last time.

I have these same heart and lung problems. I just posted another thread about them.
I've tried everything for them and get relief but never cured. It always comes back. I'm not even sure what I'm dealing with. I got well on bactrim/rifampin but relapsed after stopping.
