My stomach feels all messed up. ive only been treating for a little over a week. im taking probiotics 100 cfu a day and florastor 2 x's a day

I dont understand whats wrong. I have felt bloated all day for the past few days. and everytime i try to have a bowel movement i feel constipated. and either diarreah comes out or very little pieces of poop.

and my stomach feels gassy and sore. even my lower back is starting to feel sore.

this is nuts. SOMEONE please help me. i feel like im going to lose it.

Are you taking magnesium? It can help soften the stools.

I wonder if it's not from a cranial nerve that goes down to the stomach and that is infected...

I never had stomach problems before I started treatment a week and a half ago tho. so its got to be something treatment related.

i noticed it when i upped my dose the most

I was taking therelac for 3 weeks before starting antibiotics and I also was eating well.

I had GI issues from the Lyme, so I'm not sure I'm much help. I've wondered about the nerve issue Shahbah.

Are you taking abx with food?

Also, have you tried a coffee enema? I find those can sometimes help.

My husband felt just like that when he started treatment.

Probiotics would put him over the edge.

It didn't get any better until he took Diflucan for yeast.

Check this out:

Cranial nerves and Bells Palsy of the Gut
http://www.ilads.org/lyme_research/lyme_publications14.html

You may need to ask your dr for some Diflucan to make sure you have killed out any yeast. It CAN constipate you. ( Many get diarrhea, but it can go the other way too. )

what else besides yeast could be causing this?

do people get this when they first experience alot of die off? do they get badly backed up in the bowels and constipated?

Woow thank you so much lymetoo for this valuable article!!! Finally I understand what I am suffering from... the article recommends flagyl as a treatment, does that mean we should all add it to our abx list?...
